Check the server adress and URL, first

1. What's FTP server address?

• myhome.shinbiro.com (recommend)
• www.shinbiro.com

2. What's my homepage URL?

• http://myhome.shinbiro.com/~Id (recommend)
• http://www.shinbiro.com/~Id

3. What's my homepage's FTP URL?

• ftp://UserID:Userpassword@www.shinbiro.com:21/

Homepage loading by ftp program

1. Search the easiest FTP(File Tranfer Protocol) program on the web. I recommend the ws_ftp(ipswitch) which is simple and light to use. Here, I'll let you know how to upload your pretty homepage onto Shinbiro with this program.

2. After downloading and installing 'ws_ftp' program, you'll see the icon on the background. Now double-click it!
   
   
   
   
3. Look at the following windows, one is ftp window and the other is session properties window.
   • profile name : type "shinbiro"
     
   • host name/address : type the address, "www.shinbiro.com"
     
   • host type : "auto detect" is preferable
     
   • user id : type your ID
     
   • password : type your password!
     
   • anonymous : check here for use of public ftp site
     
   • save pwd : check here to save your password

   
   

4. Select "startup" tab of session properties window.
   
   
   • Type your remote system's directory in the blank of [initial remote host directory]. Default is '/'. If you want to select 'img' directory, type '/img'
     
     
   • Make "home.htm(l)" or "index.htm(l)". This is the first page of your home site. If your neighbor types "http://www.shinbiro.com/~id", he or she will see this first page.
     
     
   • Type your local pc's directory in the blank of [initial local directory].(eg: d:\myhome)
     
     
   • Complete the above precedure, click [OK] button. Then your connection to Shinbiro will be open.
