Windows 3.1 Trumpet Winsock


I. Setup Winsock Configuration

1. Open your Trumpet winsock and choose <File> from the pull-dwon menu, then choose <Setup>.

2. 'IP address' should be 0.0.0.0 and type 202.30.143.11 for 'DNS server(s)', then shinbiro.com for 'Domain suffix'.

3. The type of 'Driver' should be PPP and never mind Vector, Netmask and Gateway.

4. Click <Dialler settings> and set your own modem settings, then click <OK> and <OK> in order to complete setup.

II. Let's connect to Shinbiro

1. Click <Dialler> and choose <Manual login> from the pull-down menu.

2. Type the access number <atdt01431>and press.
You should put the number 9 first to go outside. For example, <atdt9,01431>

3. Your modem will dial and then connect.

4. Enter your username and password , then press.

5. You will see 'Switching to PPP mode' and press <Esc>key immediately when broken
characters appear.

6. IP address will be given , then you're ready.

7. Run your web browser and surf the net.

8. When you're finished web-surfing, click <Dialler> and choose <Bye> from the pull-down menu.
