I. Setup of Dial-Up
Networking Connection to Shinbiro
1. Double-click <My Computer>, and open <Dial-Up
Networking> folder.
2. Double-click <Make New Connection>.
3. Name your connection "Shinbiro" and choose the type of your modem, then click
<Next>.
4. Enter the area code and telephone number(01431) provided
by Shinbiro for local dial-up, then select county code from the drop-down menu.
5. Click <Next> and then <Finish>. You will see
the icon of Shinbiro in your <Dial-Up Networking>.
6. Using your right mouse button, click on the Shinbiro
icon, then select <Properties> on the pop-up menu.
7. Don't check <Use area code and country code> and
click <Server Types>
8. Type of Dial-Up Server is set to 'PPP: Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5, Internet'.
9. Check <Enable software compression> under
'Advanced Options' and <TCP/IP> under 'Allowed Network Protocols'.
10. Click <TCP/IP Settings>. 'Server assigned IP address' should be checked and
'Specify name Server addressed' should be checked.
11. Primary DNS is 202.30.143.11 and Secondary DNS is
203.240.193.11
12. Primary WINS and Secondary WINS should be blank.
13. Click 'Use IP header compression' and 'Use default gateway on remote network'.
14. Click <OK> and <OK> again.
II. Instructions
on connect to Shinbiro
1. Double-click <My Computer>, and open <Dial-Up
Networking> folder.
2. Double-click <Shinbiro> icon.
3. Enter your username and password in <Connect To>
dialog box.
4. Click <Connect>. The modem will dial and then
connect.
5. Run your web browser and surf the net.
